An empty home hides nothing, and that's exactly what a move clean is for. Whether you're a tenant with a security deposit on the line, a seller prepping for photos, or a buyer who'd rather not inherit the last owner's kitchen, we clean vacant spaces to an inspection standard.
This is our most checklist-driven service. We work from the same list landlords and property managers inspect against — several local agents send us their turnovers for that reason — and we photograph each room when we finish, so you have a record before keys change hands.
The inspection-ready checklist
- Inside every cabinet, drawer, and closet — wiped, vacuumed, and shelf-lined debris removed
- Inside and behind the refrigerator and oven where accessible
- Full bathroom descale: tile, grout, glass, fixtures, and exhaust fans
- Walls spot-cleaned for scuffs and marks; light switches and plates washed
- Window interiors, tracks, sills, and blinds cleaned
- Baseboards, trim, doors, and door frames hand-wiped
- All floors vacuumed and mopped, including closet corners and stair edges
- Photo record of every room delivered same day

A professional move-out clean typically costs a fraction of the cleaning deduction a landlord will take from a deposit. Bring us your lease's cleaning clause and we'll work to it directly.
Sellers and their agents
Listing photos and open houses are unforgiving. We schedule around your photographer and stager, and several Maplewood and Millburn agents keep us on speed dial for exactly this.
Buyers and new tenants
The gap between closing and move-in day is the one time your home is empty. A move-in clean means your boxes land in a genuinely clean space — not one that just looks clean from standing height.

Does the home need to be completely empty?
Empty is best and priced accordingly. If some furniture or boxes remain we can still work, but surfaces we can't reach come off the checklist and we'll note that on your summary.
Can you guarantee I'll get my deposit back?
No honest cleaner can — deposits cover more than cleaning. What we do guarantee: if your landlord flags a cleaning item from our checklist within 7 days, we come back and re-clean it free.
How much notice do you need?
Three to four days is comfortable; we hold a small number of slots for true emergencies and end-of-month crunches. Closings on the 1st book out fastest — reserve as soon as you have a date.
Do you handle utilities being off?
We need running water and ideally electricity. If power's already off, tell us when booking — we bring lighting for darker units, but no water means rescheduling.
